The New-And-Improved Classroom

With the power of the Internet, we can accomplish many things in the classroom, like never before. With programs like www.Google.com, www.Blogspot.com, www.Bloglines.com, www.PageFlakes.com, www.Skype.com and www.Vyew.com, we can interact like never before.

Over the past few weeks, me and a few of my classmates have been experimenting with these websites, sometimes with our teacher, sometimes with out. We have been able to achieve things like never before. Using www.Skype.com we can interact like we are on a phone, by connecting a microphone to the computer, and talking to other classmates on it. On www.Vyew.com we can have an online conversation about upcoming tests, essays and chapter outlines. The best part about these sites, is that they are just not for AP European. We can use it for just about any other class.

If we can use this new technology to our advantage, life could get so much easier, instead of using the phone and internet, you can just use www.Skype.com and talk to someone about home work. Instead of having to meet after school to discuss a test, you can just go on www.Vyew.com, and if you need to look something up in the library, you can just go on www.Google.com. You can also get feeds to your favorite blogs on www.Bloglines.com and www.PageFlakes.com.

Using this new technology for School has changed my whole point of "Vyew" on the internet, I can now go on and do homework, instead of wasting hours on end on programs like www.aim.com and www.myspace.com, which to me now seem pointless. If it were not for these new tools, I would be lost in AP European, but now that all of them are in my grasp, I can finally control my grade, as long as I keep going on these sites to converse statements and questions with classmates...this may very well be one of the greatest inventions of the 20 and 21 centuries.
